主講人簡(jiǎn)介:Dr. Qiang Meng is currently a Professor in Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at National University of Singapore (NUS), and he holds a few leadership positions at NUS, including Director of NUS Guangzhou Research Translation and Innovation Institute and Director of the Centre for Transport Research (CTR) of CEE. Dr. Meng is also a Fellow of the Academy of Engineering Singapore. Prof. Meng’s research expertise spans three critical areas: urban mobility modelling and optimization, shipping and intermodal freight transportation analysis, and quantitative risk assessment (QRA) of transport operations. Through his pioneering work in these fields, he has established himself as a leading authority in the analysis, modeling, and optimization of urban mobility, maritime transportation, and intermodal freight networks. In addition to publishing more than 260 SCI journal papers with the H-index of 85 and total citations of 20,125 , Prof. has been honored with many prestigious research awards and prizes for his ground-breaking work in the three research fields, including the Top 2% Scientists of the World in the field of logistics and transportation by Stanford University for 2023, the TSL (Transportation Science & Logistics Society of INFORMS) Best Paper Award in Freight Transportation and Logistics in 2020, the OCDI Takeuchi Yoshio Best Paper Award in the Field of Logistics at the 13th EASTS International Conference in 2019, the Chang Jiang Scholar Chair Professor of the Ministry of Education of China (中國(guó)長(zhǎng)江學(xué)者講座教授) in 2017, the Outstanding Alumni Award of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2016. Prof. Meng is the former Co-Editor-in-Chief of Transportation Research Part E, and he is currently serving as the Associate Editor of Transportation Research Part B and Transportation Science.
